BOMBING MANEUVERS
Bombing with a Fighter
You
want your altitude to be around 2000ft-3500ft, anything higher and AA will
have more of a chance at you, any lower and if you are off the target any,
you won't have enough time to correct. My speed is around 200mph.
Any slower and AA will have more of a chance at you, any faster and it becomes
harder to be accurate.
Put
your crosshairs just on the other side of the target, when you get around
1500ft-1000ft, release your bombs, then pull up and get out off AA ASAP.
(remember, if you fly over a base no less then 2k, and no more than 2500ft,
AA can not hit you). Bombing with SU fighters is pretty useless unless
you either get an Isak which I believe carries 2 500 lb., or you are able
to drop on tanks that are grouped really close together.
The
LA7 only carries up to 2 200 lb., this is why I hardly ever dive bomb.
You
may want to set up a private room and practice if you have never dive bombed.
If you ever fly GE, try the 190D12, it carries 3 500 lb., and is an awesome
dive bomber, its tough and its also fast.
